Oregon Consortia Receives $18.6 Million Grant

September 2011 - The Obama administration has awarded the first installment of a $2 billion national investment  in grants to community colleges for job training and workforce development to help economically dislocated workers who are changing careers. Of the nearly $500 million initial disbursement, $18.6 million has been allocated to the Clackamas Community College Consortium (made up of the seventeen Oregon community colleges) to support the Oregon Credentials, Acceleration, and Support for Employment (CASE) Consortium, a statewide collaboration that includes the community colleges, Oregon Employment Department/Trade Act, employers, and community partners.
